My last minute Halloween costume (Read on...) |
As if watching almost 5 straight hours of Vampire Diaries wasn't enough, I started to dream that I was part of the cast and that I was somehow intimately involved. I know what you're thinking.. that I'm pathetic. Ugh, as if I didn't already know this!? Reality and fiction started to merge together to the point of my life colliding with a teen drama! What's real? Where does my vicarious living begin and end? Well, on Halloween day, we never found out.
I awoke to the harsh realization that I had missed 3 of my 4 classes that day. Being the motivated over-achiever that I am, I decided to just skip that last one and forget the whole class thing. (That's my sarcasm coming into play.) After all, it WAS Halloween. The first and worst mistake I made that day was turning on Vamp Diaries merely seconds after I woke up. Four hours later, I moseyed out of bed and ate some cereal. Four more hours later I finally rummaged up the courage to take a shower. It was now 8:00 and my Halloween festivities began in roughly an hour. Deciding to multitask, I got ready while watching another episode of VD. The constant struggle to stay focused on simple tasks while watching that is almost impossible. But I managed.
I was finally ready. My last minute costume turned out to be a make shift cat.. with wolf ears. But whatever, on Halloween, no one really cares. I was finally free from the bondage of my Netflix to live my own life! Thank goodness it was Halloween and I could easily cope with the lack of Vampires and Warewolves with all the other distractions.

Hope you had just as good or an even better Halloween than I. :) I will have you know, I don't regret my poor decision to over-consume VD, and I never will.
